Cold can help to reduce the inflammation and swelling. Take some ice cubes inside a bag and apply it on the affected area for 10-15 minutes at a time. You can complement this by taking cold showers and also, you can use a towel dipped in cold water to do the same.
This might be the last thing on your mind when you’re experiencing shoulder pain, but trust us, it works. A good massage will help the muscles relax and the tension between the tendons decrease. This can also help in improving the blood circulation in the area, aiding to the recovery.
This massage must be done by someone who knows what he’s/she’s doing. You can use olive, coconut, sesame or mustard oil for the same. Massage for 10 minutes and then apply a warm towel on the affected area. The only thing you’ll have to remember is that you mustn’t massage if the pain increases.
Introducing this spice or increasing its content in the cuisine could help cure shoulder pain. You can also try out a solution that is a proven cure for shoulder pain. Mix turmeric with coconut oil into a paste and rub it over the affected area.
Another popular method of adding it into a diet is by adding a teaspoon of turmeric in milk alongside honey and drinking it.
If you do not want to do any of these methods, then you can take a physician’s recommendation for having turmeric pills.
Epsom Salt Bath
This is a salt made of magnesium sulfate. It helps to reduce shoulder pain. Add 2 cups of this salt to a bathtub filled with warm/hot water. Take a bath for 20-25 minutes, and do this on alternating days in a week.
